An Easy Investment Loan Has Been Agreed for Building a Greenhouse Facility in Vyazma

In order to implement an investment project related to building a greenhouse facility in Vyazma, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has agreed to grant an easy loan amounting to 3.9 bln. roubles at the rate of up to 5%. The facility with a total area of more than 20 hectares will be built using the Dutch technologies. This has been reported by Governor Alexey Ostrovsky during the enlarged meeting of the Administration of the Smolensk Region.

It should be recalled that within the framework of the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi Governor Alexey Ostrovsky and CEO of Ekoresurs LLC Alexey Soshnikov have signed a collaboration agreement, aimed to implement an investment project for building a large greenhouse facility within the territory of the Vyazma District to grow tomatoes of many kinds, including grapevine and cherry tomatoes. It is expected to use LED technologies.

Ekoresurs LLC belongs to a group of companies, which projects have already been successfully implemented in a number of Russian regions. Among them – construction of the first greenhouse facility by Agrofirma OJSC to grow vegetables and herbaceous crops in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The total amount of investments in the project is expected to be more than 4.5 bln. roubles, however the start of production will allow for about 500 new jobs in the district.

The project implementation will be vital for providing the citizens with vegetables, grown within the Smolensk Region. As noted by the investors, the planned production capacity will amount to 11 thousand tons of vegetables a year (with the average yield of cherry tomatoes as large as 35 kg/sq. m, that of grapevine tomatoes – 75 kg/sq. m). The sales markets will also be targeted at the regions of the Central Federal District, and modern logistics management will help transporting vegetables of high quality at the distance of up to 2 thousand kilometres.

By the end of summer 2018 the company expects to start construction works. By the end of this year all the metal frameworks will have been constructed, the mounting works will have been finished. Then Ekoresurs LLC expects to start mounting its process equipment at 20 hectares of greenhouses and three hectares of auxiliary premises of the agricultural facility all at once.

In June 2019 a seedling section will be put into operation, and in August the whole of 20 hectares will be scattered with seedlings. The first yield received from the innovative greenhouse facility is expected by the end of 2019.

As part of the project, the municipal administration has allocated the land plots in the Vyazma District to the investor. Besides, the land use plan has been approved, and the issues related to laying the service lines have been worked over as needed.
