180 Million Rubles is invested in reconstruction of Smolensk Grain Processing Plant

The factory workshop for producing compound feed is being reconstructed at Smolensk Grain Processing Plant. Under the investment project the cooperation agreement was signed by the Governor Alexey Ostrovsky and General Director of Smolensk Grain Processing Plant Alexsandr Mazuro.

The second granulation line with input of liquid components and whole grains will be installed at the enterprise, as well as a new steam boiler and an electrical substation with 2 transformers of 1 000 kVA will be built there. The total investment value will amount to 180 mln. rubles. The implementation of this investment project will allow to increase production capacities and to start manufacturing up to 14 000 tons of compound feed in a month.

Smolensk Grain Processing Plant was founded in 1944. In the present, the factory produces bulk and granulated compound feed for various types of livestock and poultry, as well as provides services for receiving, storing and shipping of grain raw materials and oilseed residues. Monthly 8 000 tons of compound feed is produced here and not only enterprises and farms of the Smolensk Region are supplied with this feed but the Central Federal District as well. Smolensk Grain Processing Plant was awarded the status of grain keeper of the state intervention fund.
