Acron Group Invested Over 3 Billion Roubles to Promote Regional Production Growth

Governor of the Smolensk Region Alexey Ostrovsky has held a working meeting with CEO of Acron PJSC Vladimir Kunitsky to discuss the stage of implementing investment projects by Dorogobuzh PJSC in the Smolensk Region.

At present the company deals with upgrading an ammonia unit currently operating at Dorogobuzh PJSC as well as with construction of a new facility to produce phosphorous-containing fertilizers.

All the needed equipment has been purchased to implement the project related to upgrading the ammonia unit; preliminary work has been done to avoid interruption of production process. The total investments into the project will reach 5 billion roubles, 3 of which have already been invested.

Vladimir Kunitsky announced that the start of upgraded ammonia unit is scheduled for the end of October or beginning of November 2019. The project will ramp up production by 130 ths. tons of fertilizers per year and will provide for replacement of the outdated equipment for the modern one, thus increasing the unit capacity by 20%.

Basic design works for the new fertilizer facility have been complete. A project report is currently under preparation, 400 million roubles have been invested so far. Total investments into the project will amount to 20 billion roubles. The project will promote adoption of the best available technologies at the production enterprise, thus ensuring a high level of environmental safety. The new facility by Dorogobuzh PJSC will create up to 400 new jobs and will considerably increase the regional taxable income in the future.
