Delegation of the Smolensk Region Will Participate in SPIEF 2019
The delegation of the Smolensk Region led by Governor Alexey Ostrovsky, will participate in the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) which will be held on June 6-8, 2019.
Representatives of the Smolensk Region will take an active part in business talks arranged as part of various activities during the Forum, such as meetings with business partners, experts, global business leaders, foreign representatives. The SPIEF business programme also includes business meetings arranged for the regional representatives with the federal authorities, chief executives of the regions, top management of state corporations, potential domestic and foreign investors.
A number of agreements aimed to implement the investment projects within the Smolensk Region are expected to be signed during the Forum, for example, in industry and agriculture.
It should be recalled that the Smolensk Region has become an active participant of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum since 2017, every time presenting the region with an exhibition stand at SPIEF Investment & Business Expo.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum has been held since 1997 and starting from 2006 it has been arranged under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation. The Forum has become one of the leading global venues which serves to facilitate cooperation between business representatives and yearly joins together over 5,000 participants from Russia and abroad, involving heads of states and government executives, top managers of the biggest companies as well as global experts representing science community, mass media and civil society.
