The government will allocate another 10 billion rubles to provide preferential loans to farmers

An additional 10 billion rubles will be allocated to support the program of preferential lending to agricultural producers. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The funds will be used to subsidise loans to agro-industrial enterprises for the production and processing of agricultural products.

The need for additional financing is associated with an increase in the key rate of the Bank of Russia in the second half of 2023. At the end of September, 45 billion rubles had already been allocated from the Government's reserve fund for these purposes. The funds provided for by the new order will be allocated from the federal budget.

"The decisions taken will help not only to service the existing obligations of farmers, but also to implement new projects, increase the production of agricultural raw materials and food and preserve a wide selection of high–quality domestic products for our citizens," Mikhail Mishustin said.
