According to the results of the implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity" in 2024, only 16 regions of Russia, including the Smolensk region, entered the group of leaders in the rating.

The annual rating was compiled by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation together with the Federal Center for Competence in the field of Labor Productivity among the regions that involve enterprises in the national project with the support of experts from regional and federal competence centers.

When forming the rating, such complex indicators of the regions were taken into account as:

• the scale of dissemination of best practices for improving productivity;
• the coverage of enterprises with employee training measures, the volume of preferential loans, as well as the performance and cash disciplines of regional teams;
• the effectiveness of information work aimed at informing businesses and citizens about the importance and opportunities of the national project, as well as the launch and implementation of regional support measures for the RCC.

It is noteworthy that the high efficiency of the measures implemented within the framework of the national project has contributed to the launch of the federal project "Labor Productivity" from 2025 as part of the activities of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy".

It should be noted that currently the regional competence center of the Smolensk region continues to actively strengthen the region's position among the leaders of the national project, confirming its status as one of the key competence centers in the field of labor productivity improvement among the subjects of the Russian Federation.
