Machine tool companies from 20 regions have started to increase labor productivity
May 27, 2025
By the end of 2026, FCC experts will develop plans for production growth for 70 machine tool manufacturers. The work will take place within the framework of the national project "Means of production and automation". This was announced by Maxim Papushenko, Director General of the FCC, at the relevant session of the Metalloobrabotka-2025 forum.
In the project for the development of the Russian machine tool industry, our goal is to implement 70 projects (35 per year) by the end of 2026 to identify the potential for growth in the production of domestic machine tools or their components. Based on the results of the work of our experts, we are handing over to the company a comprehensive plan of specific measures, after which the company will be able to use previously unused resources, unlock its potential more fully and increase the production of machine tools or their parts.
— Maxim Papushenko reported.
To date, agreements have been concluded with 32 companies from 20 regions, among them LLC ARKADA-MB from the Smolensk region. Work has already begun on the 18th, and the first results will be available in September.

The machine tool development project lasts six months and begins with the diagnosis of the current state of the enterprise and the identification of "bottlenecks". Next, the FCC experts, together with the company's team, develop a plan to eliminate them and create a sample site. Lean manufacturing tools are used to create it, so it clearly demonstrates how, without significant investment, lean technologies can significantly increase output.

The federal project "Labor Productivity", implemented within the framework of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy", aims to create conditions for an annual increase in labor productivity in the country by 5% by 2030.
