On June 20, during the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2025), the results of the National Rating of the Investment Climate in the regions of Russia, which is annually formed by ASI together with leading business associations, were presented.

According to the results of the rating, the Smolensk region immediately rose by 3 positions and took 5th place. The Smolensk Region has firmly established itself in the TOP 10 in recent years.

The national rating of the investment climate in the regions evaluates the efforts of the regional authorities to create favorable business conditions and identifies best practices. The results of the rating stimulate competition for investments at the regional level.

The Smolensk region continues to strengthen its place in the National Rating of the investment Climate, the merits in this matter belong to the support of entrepreneurs and the creation of a favorable environment for doing business. The regional government is focused on developing infrastructure and improving the well-being of Smolyans.

The final assessment of the national rating is formed in four areas: "Regulatory environment", "Institutions for business", "Infrastructure and resources", and "SME support".
