The role of the social contract in improving the quality of life in rural areas

On April 1, a field meeting "The role of the social contract in improving the quality of life in rural areas" was held in the city of Velizh. Representatives of Velizhsky, Demidovsky and Rudnyansky districts took part.
Igor Vasilyevich Lyakhov, Chairman of the Smolensk Regional Duma, delivered an introductory speech to the participants.
The meeting addressed issues of state support for start-up entrepreneurs, social assistance under a social contract, programs to support SMEs, and many others. Experts from various organizations shared their experience and knowledge about how support programs work.
Speakers included Ekaterina Yefremova, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Smolensk Region, Olga Semchenkova, Deputy Minister for Social Development of the Smolensk Region, Evgeny Lasy, Director of the Rosselkhoznadzor, Tatyana Drozdova, Executive Director of the Smolensk Regional Union of Agricultural Cooperatives, Vladimir Kril, First Deputy General Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Support of the Smolensk Region, and others.
During the meeting, Larisa Rakitina, Deputy Head of the Land Relations Department of the Smolensk Region Investment Development Corporation, spoke about the services provided by the Corporation. In particular, she focused on cadastral and design work carried out for agricultural producers.
Following the seminar, the participants learned about the mechanisms of state support for agricultural producers, such as subsidies, preferential loans, grant support and social contracts.
The meeting ended with an open rostrum, where participants actively discussed the proposed initiatives and shared their opinions.
