Productivity growth centers in industries will be created under the ministries
March 20th, 2025
The experience gained by the FCC will help modernize industries, reduce staff shortages, and ensure new growth rates for both business and the country's economy as a whole. This was announced by Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov on March 19 at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Federal Competence Center.
The Federal Competence Center has made a great contribution to the implementation of the national project "Labor Productivity" over the past six years. The FCC has become an assembly point for best practices in the field of lean manufacturing, a reliable consulting center for business and the public sector.
— The Minister noted in his speech.
In the social sphere, the task is to reach more than 123 thousand organizations — these are schools, libraries, universities, social service centers, theaters, hospitals, sports schools, sports training bases and even zoos. The FCC will develop 180 boxed solutions to solve typical productivity problems in the social sphere. These solutions will be implemented in social sector organizations by the project managers of the sectoral competence centers under the responsible ministries.

The sectoral competence centers were established in early 2025 under the relevant ministries working according to the methodological recommendations of the FCC. In addition to direct work in organizations, specialists and analysts from industry centers, together with the regions, will select and replicate best practices for productivity improvement for independent implementation by organizations. You can choose a practice and get acquainted with the cases and results of its implementation on the platform of the Federal Target Program "Productivity.rf".
The key objective of our BCC is to increase the productivity of universities subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, primarily by optimizing processes and improving their quality, involving staff in projects, and, as a result, increasing the efficiency of universities.
Dmitry Afanasyev, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, spoke.
For the real sector of the economy, the FCC is also developing a methodological framework for the work of industry competence centers. They will be established under ministries and will work in industry, transport, energy, construction, tourism, trade and communications. Their tasks are to analyze the industry, identify barriers hindering business development, adjust support measures to accelerate the investment cycle, expand the introduction of modern digital solutions, production technologies and robotics.

The IT platform "Productivity.Russia, which has already registered more than 250,000 users, is becoming a full-fledged ecosystem of the federal productivity improvement project, covering the entire country.
The platform allows you to track the status of projects at enterprises, get acquainted with the best practices in the "Knowledge Base" and learn lean manufacturing in the format of online courses.
Nikolai Solomon, General Director of the FCC, emphasized.
The federal Labor Productivity project is part of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" and will be in effect until 2030.
