In September 2025, Smolenskelectrokabel Software LLC completed a pilot project to optimize the production process through the introduction of a lean manufacturing system during the implementation of the federal Labor Productivity project.

During the implementation of the first project to increase labor productivity, the company was able to exceed the project targets. The process running time (RUNWAY) decreased by 49%, the production rate (m. per person per hour) increased by 130%.

These results were achieved due to:

• eliminating the root causes of equipment shutdown and prolonged downtime;
• organization of efficient workplaces;
• standardization of control and technical operations necessary for the production of a batch of finished products.

During the implementation of the project, Lean Manufacturing instructors (UPS) have been trained at the enterprise, who are able to independently replicate the results of the project to other business streams in the future. The company has opened new projects aimed at improving production efficiency in other production flows and supporting processes.

The results of the project are the results of the integrated implementation and use of Lean manufacturing tools. The phased implementation of the developed measures made it possible to optimize the technological process of manufacturing a batch of products, reduce downtime of production equipment, reduce the complexity of manual and control operations, as well as reduce the distance of movement, which, in turn, increased the available time for production.
