The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is a large–scale annual event in the business world, held under the patronage of the President of Russia. The forum will be attended by representatives of more than 140 countries and territories. Among them are heads of state, ministers, leaders of political parties, governors and heads of major Russian and international companies.

The main theme of the XXVIII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is "Common values - the basis for growth in a multipolar world." In 2025, the focus will be on finding common guidelines in the face of global turbulence, rethinking cooperation models and shaping the foundations of sustainable development. The main venue of the SPIEF will be the Expoforum Exhibition Center in St. Petersburg.

SPIEF is not just a space for dialogue and the development of business ties, which has no analogues, but also an opportunity to find partners for business development in Russia and abroad, expand the circle of customers and suppliers, get in touch with decision makers directly, and attract the attention of potential investors.

The delegation of the Smolensk Region has been participating in the forum since 2017. The region is rich in its opportunities. There are industrial parks "Phoenix", "Safonovo", "Bacchus" and a special economic zone of the industrial and production type "Stabna" in the region, a territory of advanced socio-economic development has been created in Dorogobuzh. The Smolensk delegation is ready to show export-oriented cases of enterprises whose products are sold in more than 100 countries around the world.
