Maxim Reshetnikov discussed further work of the federal Labor Productivity project with the regions

The national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" will bring the work on increasing labor productivity to a systemic and intersectoral level. This was announced by the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov at a meeting with the regions.

The state of the labor market is a key factor in economic growth. A lot of efforts are being made at the federal level to improve the efficiency of its functioning. These include forecasting personnel needs, improving the quality of employee training, migration issues, and increasing labor market flexibility. But in the end, the key indicator that will determine the economic development of the coming years is labor productivity growth.
The national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" will continue all the activities of the completed national project "Labor Productivity". Another 6 thousand companies will be able to receive targeted support to improve efficiency. Among them may be manufacturing industries, agricultural enterprises, construction and transport companies, organizations of the housing and communal services and tourism sectors. It is enough for them to submit an application on the productivity website.RF.

We see that the demand from enterprises for participation in the federal Labor Productivity project is growing. As chairman of the State Council's commission on Industry, I believe that this project brings real economic benefits, helps lay the foundations for a new industrial culture, and is one of the most effective measures to support industrial enterprises.
Andrey Sanosyan, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, stressed that increasing labor productivity in the future may become one of the main tools to address the issue of personnel shortages.
Maxim Reshetnikov noted that the work on improving labor productivity should not be exclusively targeted. Thus, relevant programs in all sectors will be developed jointly with relevant ministries.
The current support measures will have to be linked to the indicators of labor productivity growth, and it is also necessary to reduce administrative barriers. For this purpose, specialized industry competence centers are being formed on the basis of each department.
On behalf of the President, the project will also cover the social sphere. Maxim Reshetnikov clarified that improving efficiency in the social sphere should be associated with an increase in the quality of services and their accessibility.
