Vasily Anokhin spoke about innovations in the Investment Declaration of the Smolensk Region
The Acting Governor of the Smolensk Region Vasily Anokhin spoke about the updated version of the Investment Declaration of the Smolensk Region. Speaking about the purpose of the updated version, Vasily Anokhin noted: “I think everyone understands that the development of the region is largely determined by its investment attractiveness, the desire of businesses to localize their production here, with us.”
The Investment Declaration is one of the elements of the Regional Investment Standard developed by the Ministry of Economic Development together with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. The Smolensk Region takes an active part in its pilot implementation. In other words, this is a basic document that contains information about all the obligations of the region to the investor.
Vasily Anokhin explained some of the new points in the Regional Investment Declaration:
"Firstly, we paid special attention to the region's investment obligations, which guarantee stability and protect the interests of the investor.
Secondly, we have singled out a block dedicated to support measures, which an investor can count on when deciding to implement his project in the Smolensk Region. What is more, the emphasis is put on the support infrastructure, where the investor can turn for advice and support.
Thirdly, the Declaration contains information about all the elements of the Regional Investment Standard, as well as links where anyone can get acquainted with the elements of the standard in more detail.
Compliance with all these provisions of the Investment Declaration is a priority task for the relevant Department and an additional guarantee of the reliability and safety of investments in the Smolensk Region.”
