Progress report on the “Construction of cattle farms with a capacity of 410 dairy cows including heifers, arrangement of cultivated grassland, hay harvesting to provide the food reserve; construction of a milk-processing shop with a capacity of 10 tons a day” investment project (the Gagarin District)

The investment project provides for construction of cattle farms to keep 410 dairy cows including heifers, arrangement of cultivated grassland, hay harvesting to provide the food reserve, construction of a milk-processing shop with the capacity of 10 tons a day. 

Since the project start, the investor has reclaimed and strewn about 200 ha of land with annual silage in order to provide food reserve. 

The farm modernization has been completed; a voluntary milking robot system has been installed and is operating. The access road to the farm has been renovated, and the engineering services have been connected. 

There has been drilled a well for water, has been purchased hay and forage equipment, is being completed the milk processing workshop construction: a frame of the workshop building has been raised; internal finishing works are under way. 

According to the results of 2019, the cattle stock is 129 heads, including 69 cows. Gross milk production is 284 tons. Daily food from each cow averages 30 l of milk a day. The investor is the recipient of a grant within the framework of the “Agriculture Development and Regulation of Agricultural Products, Raw Materials and Food Markets” regional state program for 2014-2020.
