Progress report on “Construction of a modular complex for storing and processing potatoes and vegetables (multistage construction and commissioning the complex separate modules No. 1-6)” investment project (the Smolensk Region)

Kozinsky Greenhouse Facility LLC is one of the most dynamically developing agricultural enterprises of the Smolensk Region and occupies the leading position in the production output among 90 potato-growing farms of the region. The total acres are over 2 thousand ha, 330 of which are allocated for potatoes. The enterprise provides its products not only to Smolensk, but also to the Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Sverdlovsk Regions, as well as the Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Crimea.
In 2015, there were built the first three modules, increasing the total volume of one-time storage to 5 thousand tons of products. In July 2017, the Sodeystviye cooperative, whose shareholder is the greenhouse facility, became one of the winners of the competitive selection for grant support of agricultural consumer- oriented marketing cooperatives and began construction of the next module. Three months later, the potato storage facility No. 5 with a capacity of more than 2 tons was put into operation. The room is equipped with the ventilation and refrigerating equipment, as well as an energy-saving microclimate system. To date, there have been built 5 modules of the complex with the total capacity of one-time storage of about 7.5 thousand tons. There are plans to build two more modules, as well as to process carrots into juice and puree, as well as potatoes into starch.
Currently, Kozinsky Greenhouse Facility LLC is implementing an investment project in construction of a potato warehouse (Module No 6 with transport corridors) with the capacity of 2 250 tons of simultaneous storage included in the unified complex of modules for storage of agricultural products which is also equipped with microclimate control system.
At the moment, the construction of this facility is being completed, start-up and commissioning works are in progress. It is plant to put the potato warehouse into operation at the beginning of 2021.
