Progress report on the “Construction of the beef cattle breeding and feeding complex with a slaughterhouse and a meat processing area” investment project (the Gagarin District)

Nasha Zhitnitsa Agro-Industrial Firm JSC plans to create a full-cycle production for breeding and feeding beef calves with their subsequent slaughter and a meat processing into the semi-finished products in large pieces and the steaked semi- finished products. 

There is its own extensive crop base, which allows reducing the cost for purchasing fodder, improving the fodder base quality and reducing the risks of providing fodder. 

In 2014, the investment project was included in the list of approved for granting state support in the form of a property tax benefit. 

The investment project implementation is carried out in several stages: 

I stage “Establishment of a crop base with entrance to the crop products market. Construction of a modern grain processing and storage complex”. The project was implemented in 2015 Within the framework of the project, there were invested 461.7 Mio rubles and were created 59 new jobs. 

There were built a modern grain-cleaning and drying complex (with a capacity of 30 tons an hour; with the one-time grain storage tanks for 12 thousand tons), the storage facilities for floor grain storage with a capacity of 8 000 tons and an integrated seed selection line, which allows carrying out a full-cycle grain processing (from stock placement to warehousing). There was established a machine and tractor fleet which holds modern high-tech equipment for field development and complex service. 

II stage “The beef cattle breeding and feeding complex with a slaughterhouse and a meat processing area for 2.4 heads of breeder flock.” 

The investment project implementation provides for establishing three production complexes: 

1) Calves feeding complex with a capacity up to 800 heads for a one-time housing and 1.6 heads of feeder cattle a year. 

2) A slaughterhouse and a meat processing area with a capacity of 50 heads a day. 

3) Construction of a feeding complex with a calves growing area up to 1 heads a year. 

There has already been established a winter housing farm for 2.4 heads of breeder flock, and have been built a slaughterhouse and a meat processing area. 

The investments volume for this stage will amount to about 930 Mio rubles. There will be created 92 new jobs. Completion of the 2nd stage is planned for the 4th quarter of 2020 At present, the plant employs over 70 people (40 employees will be added after the starting slaughterhouse and meat processing area in the 1st quarter of 2020).
