Progress report on the “Milk cattle breeding and raw milk production” investment project (the Smolensk District)

Social Return: about 100 new jobs 

Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2019, Governor of the Smolensk Region and General Director of the Agroservice Smolensk Diversified Enterprise signed an Agreement on cooperation in agriculture. The Agreement provides for implementing the enterprise capacity expansion project. In particular, there are plans to increase the heifer reproductive herd of the Holstein Black-and-White breed to 600 heads, to purchase modern agricultural machinery and equipment. 

Agroservice has been operating in dairy cattle breeding and raw milk production in the Rusilovo village (the Smolensk District) since 2018 For the project implementation, the investor purchased a livestock complex with an area of 8.502 m2, a calf shed with an area of 1.967 m2, over 300 units of machinery and equipment. 

Currently, there have been constructed two cow sheds and a milking parlor. The heifer pedigree livestock of the Holstein Black-and-White breed amounts to 500 heads. Also in the third quarter of 2019, there were purchased 70 heifers of the Ayrshire breed. There were created 25 jobs.
