Regional Investment Standard – is the key ASI project launched to create favourable business conditions in regions.
Working on the standard, the Agency analysed the investment practices of the most successful regions and worked out the standard including the minimum list of requirements, which help to increase regional investment, create efficient communication between business and authorities. This document specifies measures how to improve the regional investment policy, protection of investors' rights and provide different kinds of support for investors.
11 RF regions took part in the pilot project in 2012.
The Standard application was proved efficient at the meeting of the State Council on 27th December, 2012. Following the President’s instructions, the Standard should be applied to all the regions.
In 2013 ASI began the scalability of the project.
ASI also provides methodological support of the standard application and organizational support of expert groups.
Important:
The standard consists of 15 best investment practices used in the regions.
The Smolensk Region met all the Standard requirements, which was confirmed by the results of the public expertise and ministerial analysis of the documents submitted by ASI. The region continued to monitor the results of the Standard application, which is among key priorities in 2015-2018.
