Smolensk Producers Are Presenting Solutions for Rockets and General Aviation at MAKS Air Show

The International Aviation and Space Salon called MAKS is arranged once in 2 years to unite the key industry players at Zhukovsky International Airport. During the exhibition Smolensk enterprises presented a measurement and telemetry system for rockets, an aviation training program, a state-of-the-art engine and components for aviation equipment. A collective stand of the regional exporters was arranged by the Export Support Centre of the Smolensk Region.

Representatives of the foreign companies were particularly interested in a TEM cell designed by Rubicon-Innovation, a research and development company from Smolensk, which employees are already negotiating their project with Belarusian and Slovak partners.

During the air show Voenlet company showed its reasonably priced and practical Kovalent 2800 engine for small aircrafts, which is currently undergoing test trials. There was also an educational project presented during the exhibition – it was a training platform for aviation e-learning developed by the Gagarin flying club members.

Smolensk enterprises are also ready to produce parts and components for aviation. For example, NPP Gran LLC presented its technical capabilities for producing customer-designed goods made from different metals. Julia Kuzmenko, a company representative, laid a special focus on the fact the company is a certified producer of aviation equipment, which is proved by a license granted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The company is already exporting produced components to Germany. Participation of the Smolensk companies in the event was aimed at inviting foreign partners to cooperation and expanding the sales markets.
