The Chinese investors were told about the Smolensk projects
Within development of the Russian-Chinese cooperation the third investment forum AccEssMeeting China-Russia: Annual Investment Road Show took place in Beijing (China) in which the delegation of the Smolensk region took part.
The action is organized by the international company STRATEGY Links, the general partner is the conglomerate HNA with assistance of PJSC Sberbank of Russia and PJSC VTB Bank.
The road show took place with active participation of the largest private investment conglomerates, syndicates, trusts, family offices, pension funds, investment banks and funds with the invitation of profile IR departments of industrial groups of China, corporate clients of the Chinese banks with investment interests in the Russian Federation.
Within the action the Vice Governor of the Smolensk region Rostislav Rovbel presented to the Chinese investors the presentation of investment potential of the Smolensk region and five projects which are ready to realize in the region, with concrete calculations and standards of profitability in agriculture, industry, construction and logistics.
One of the experts of the forum the chief representative of Sberbank in China, heading the Trade mission of the Russian Federation in the People's Republic of China from 2001 to 2013 Sergey Tsyplakov noted: “Smolensk region has become extremely attractive to the investor by the logistic opportunities. Besides creation of hothouse complexes of the closed type can become the perspective direction of the region in agriculture”.
Also the Vice Governor paid special attention of the Chinese colleagues that the first in the Central Federal District the Territory of the advancing social and economic development has been created in the monotown of Dorogobuzh, Smolensk region where large-scale measures of support for foreign investors similar to the conditions in Primorsk and Khabarovsk have been established.
“Participation in actions of such level promotes accumulation of experiment on interaction with the Chinese investors and gives chance to both parties to define the main points for collaboration. Thanks to the Governor Alexey Ostrovsky the investment policy became the main vector of development of Smolensk region. Administration of Smolensk region is ready to consider any possibilities for successful cooperation with the Chinese investors and to conduct negotiations considering their intentions and wishes”, - the Vice Governor of the Smolensk region Rostislav Rovbel emphasized.
Also Rostislav Rovbel has held working meetings with the vice-president of China Machinery Industry Federation and with the Acting Sales representative of Russia in China Sergey Sorokin. They have discussed the glass industry and also interaction of the Chinese concern FAW and the company Polimix.
