The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation will support a construction of a large greenhouse complex in Smolensk region

During a working trip of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev to Smolensk the Governor Alexey Ostrovsky initiated discussion of a number of topical issues. One of them was concerned the support in realization of the large agrarian investment project in the territory of the region.

As the Governor of the region has told the Chairman of the Goverment, Greenhouse Plant Smolensky, LLC realizes the project on construction of a greenhouse complex of 17,24 hectares with a total cost more than 3 billion rubles. One of the most important purposes of construction, according to Alexey Ostrovsky, is revival of branch of industrial vegetable growing on the basis of domestic innovative developments.

The Governor has emphasized that implementation of the investment project requires attraction of credit resources of 2,6 billion rubles ( it will make 1,5 billion rubles in the first stage of construction, in the second stage – 1,1 billion rubles). Nowadays the enterprise has presented a package of documents for receiving the credit in Sberbank of Russia, PJSC.

Alexey Ostrovsky has appealed to Dmitry Medvedev to render assistance in inclusion of Greenhouse Plant Smolensky, LLC in the register of borrowers. Such decision, in case of its acceptance by Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, will give to the enterprise the chance to participate in the federal program of concessional lending which provides borrowed funds under a rate in 5%.
