Smolensk region is in the final of the Vth National WorldSkills Russia championship

By results of elimination competitions the team of Smolensk region has reached the final of the Vth National WorldSkills Russia 2017 championship which will take place in Krasnodar from May 15 to May 19.

Representatives of Avangard, JSC Evgeny Kuznetsov and Fedor Kuzenkov will act in competence Technologies of Composites of the project FutureSkills which is one of the priority directions of the movement WorldSkills Russia directed to the advancing staff training. Development of the project is caused by global changes in the sphere of technologies and production which dictate new requirements to stuff and their preparation for work in the conditions of digital economy.

The final of the National WorldSkills Russia championship is the most large-scale competitions of professional skill in Russia among students of the secondary professional educational organizations and young workers aged from 16 up to 22 years. They promote career guidance of youth and introduction in system of native education of the best international practices. Winners and prizewinners of the championship will be an expanded part of the national team from which it will be selected the Russian participants of world competitions in professional skill of WorldSkills Abu-Dhabi 2017 and WorldSkills Kazan 2019, and also the European superiority of EuroSkills which will be in 2018 in the Budapest, Hungary.

It should be noted that Smolensk region has joined the movement WorldSkills Russia two years ago, with assistance of the Governor Alexey Ostrovsky. Within the short period of time, the residents of Smolensk managed to prove as highly qualified specialists, in 2016 the representatives of Smolensk region have won bronze medals in competences Teaching in Elementary Grades and Composite Materials in the final of the National championship.
